Lee Emmons brings more than three decades of experience in strategic nonprofit management, resource development, and communications/marketing to her current role as CEO of the Community Foundation of West Kentucky, an accredited community foundation that has worked with donors to award more than $58 million to non-profits across the region.

Lee came to this role after serving as the first-ever director of philanthropy for the western Kentucky region for the University of Kentucky, where she was responsible for raising $1.5 - $3 million in non-grant, major gifts annually. Previously, Lee was vice president for institutional advancement at West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) and executive director of WKCTC’s foundation, Paducah Junior College. During her tenure at WKCTC, the college received a gift of $15,000,000, the largest gift in college history and one of the largest-ever outright gifts to a community college in the U.S. Lee has also served as executive director and fund raiser for a nonprofit agency in Paducah, where she moved the agency from near insolvency to financial security. She has held additional roles in fundraising, communications, and management in western Kentucky and northwest Ohio.

Lee has presented in multiple states on the topics of fundraising and communications, and she has been the recipient of several awards, including Murray State University’s Nonprofit Management “Giving Back Engagement” award, a “Woman of Achievement” award from the Paducah-River City Business and Professional Women, and “Connector of the Year” award from the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. Lee is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky, Leadership Paducah, and Leadership West Ky. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Paducah, where she previously served on the board, a member of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce and the Paducah Chapter of the NAACP, and she currently serves as Chair of the City of Paducah Ethics Board. Lee holds a master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Murray State University and a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Broadcasting from Morehead State University.


Mary Anne Medlock is a Business Services Liaison for the West Kentucky Workforce Board. For nearly 25 years, she has coordinated multiple regional workforce development projects. She spends her days assisting employers through their workforce growth cycles. From prospect projects recruiting talent to providing rapid response services to dislocated workers - she's seen and done it all. Mary Anne is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, Murray State University, and has professional development certifications from the University of Southern Florida and Harvard University. She is a Goodwill Kentucky Ambassador, member of the Delta Leadership Network, serves on the Community Development Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and was just named Professional of the Year for Four Rivers Society of Human Resource Management.
