Director of Membership Development
This position is responsible for all aspects of the member development process from market research, target identification and development, leadership and support of membership sales in approach, and materials, to retention of membership. The DMD will report to the President and CEO of the Chamber. This person should be a friendly, outgoing, energetic and a creative sales professional who has a high level of work ethic and integrity. Candidates should be involved or willing to be involved in the community. The role includes but is not limited to the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Total Resource Campaign
- Revenue generating sponsorships including:
- Business at Breakfast
- Annual Business Celebration
- And other events
- Non-Dues revenue programs
- Develop new revenue programs
- Promotional Packages
- Foundation investments
- Develop and drive member contact/communications
- Program Development (LIFT, SPARK, YPM etc)
- Coordinate Chamber Business Ambassadors and their functions
- Coordinate Ribbon Cuttings, groundbreakings and other events for members
- Manage day-to-day operations as assigned
- Coordinate a new member orientation program
- Maintain and update membership database and other reporting related to membership
- Social Media Management
- Participate in and support all Chamber events as needed
Qualifications and preferred competencies include:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience
- Extensive customer service and retention experience
- Experience in project management
- Demonstrated leadership ability and potential
- Ability to work independently and strategically as an integral part of a team
- Good with technology
Familiar with design programs such as Canva, preferred.
Salary ranges from $44k - $48k based on experience plus additional bonus potential. Incentive package and benefits negotiable.
