Full-Time Remote Recruiter
Title: Recruiter
Reports to: Recruiting Manager
Summary: As a quality-focused Driver Recruiter, you will act as the initial point of contact for Driver candidates and will introduce program offerings and career opportunities within our organization. With a sales mindset, Recruiters answer incoming calls, make outbound calls and respond to various recruiting leads, and help guide candidates throughout the screening process. As you assess successful candidates through our screening and qualifications analysis, you will then schedule in person interviews to advance them in the hiring process to Orientation. You will continue to support them following Orientation throughout their careers at PTL so they have reason to share a positive experience with others in the driving community. This will help build our reputation as a carrier of choice, and grow our organization.
Major Duties:
• Answer phone calls and respond to texts, and other leads from prospective Experienced Company Drivers, Trainees, and Independent Contractors.
• Screen driving candidates and direct applicants to the best opportunity for their needs
• Understand the contents of our Driver Recruiting Manual and subsequent updates as they are published. You are responsible for communicating and adhering to all the content within it.
• Actively recruit, prospect, cold call, schedule interviews, coordinate pipelines, and follow up with interested candidates
• Verify qualification of applicants in order to determine eligibility of PTL Driver qualification guidelines
• Maintain files and document applicant communication and status for future communication.
• Arrange transportation for applicants who qualify for conditional job offers
• Ensure qualified candidate files are complete, up to date, and error free prior to their scheduled Orientation date.
• Assist coworkers as needed with their duties
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Recruiting, Processing, Inside Sales, Operations, Safety/Compliance, Driving
Special Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to build trust quickly
• Strong communication, listening, influencing and problem-solving skills.
• Strong initiative and meticulous attention to detail
• The ability to work varied hours to include weekends, evenings and holidays
Physical:
Sitting for extended periods, typing, listening, phone usage for 6 or more hours a day
